     Lobular breast cancer, also called invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC), occurs in the lobulus breast. Lobulus is the breast area that produces milk. At the ILC, the five-year survival rate was 78 percent, and the 30-year survival rate was 50 percent. At IDC, the five-year survival rate is 63 percent, and the 30-year survival rate is 37 percent.

This study shows increased for both types of about 85 percent in lobular carcinoma and approximately 83 per cent in ductal cancer. While the differences between the two types of cancer is not very much in the latest research, lobular cancer prognosis seems to be still brighter than ductal cancer.
